Further to Durango's exclusion, the GP2 grid will be reduced to 23 for the Silverstone🍷 sprint race after Ferdinando Monfardini was not cleared to race following his heavy crash in the feature event.
The Italian had been on course to secure more points for the DAMS team but lost 𝔍control of his c🦹ar and hit the wall heavily, destroying his car and landing himself in hospital.
Although he escaped with no serious injuries, Monfardini was kept in overnight for precaution and it was sug🧸gested that he should pull himself out of the running.
