Sheffield levelled by Heat 10 and that's ho♓w it stayed until they were hit by a sucker punc𒅌h! 5-1 in Heat 14 from Jason King and Jamie Smith, with James Cockle and Birkinshaw trailing in their wake.
It meant Machin's side needed to hit back in the last race - and Compton and Ashwort𝓰h responded superbly to beat King and Shaun Tacey.
Machin said: "Mildenhall are a tough side on their own patch and to come away with a draw🥀 in our first away outing was highly promising. We had good scores right down the line, with Joel Parsons looking good, although Andre was again fantastic."
