Bridewell tests Motorpoint Yamaha at Mallory

Tommy Bridewell feels he is ready to make his Motorp✅oint Yamaha debut at Cadwell Park next weekend after wrapping another day of testing at Mallory Park.

The youngster ret✃urns to the British Superbike Championship for the final four events after penning a deal with Motorpoint Yamaha in place of the cash-strapped Loris Baz.

An entirely new machine for the 23-year-old having spent 2010 - and the earlไy rounds of the 2011 season - riding a Honda CBR1000RR for Quay Garage/Tyco Honda, Bridewell was nonetheless pleased with the progress made on the R1.

"The few laps I managed last week were great as I got time to sleep on things and get ready for this test, the bike feels great albeit quite different from my las👍t Superbike.

"I know I have to adapt to the bike and with a fre🎐e track and good weather I feel I have made big steps. No time left now though we are jumping straight in at Cadwell and I can't wait!"

Motorpoint Yamaha heaꦰd into the latter rounds of the 2011 season with an entirely new rider line-up after James Westmoreland was also released from his contract. No announcement on a second rider to join Bridewell has been made.
