Crutchlow reveals broken ankle

Cal Crutchlow has said th𝓡at his injured l𓆉eft ankle is both fractured and dislocated.

A Saturday evening statement from his Yamaha Tech 3 team, following the morning practice fall, appeared to rule out a💃ny fractures:

"Extensive analysis of the [hospital] scans has revealed the former World Supersport Champion hasn't ♔suffered any fractures and he is already able to put weight🌞 on his left foot after doctors reduced the swelling around his heel and ankle."

But after passing a medical check and completing Sunday's Silverstone warm-up, Crutchlow wrot🤡e ౠon Twitter:

"Full extent of injury is I have a broken and dislocated left ankle. It's back in place𓆉 now but worst pain I've had so will try my best in race."

Crutchlow, who missed last year's British GP with a broken collarbone, set the tenth fastest lap in warm-up. He will start from 20th and last on the grid after miss😼in♐g qualifying.
