The DTM will increase the driver's use of the DRS ꦐduring the race as the series pushes for more overtaking in 20♐15.

Drivers will now be able to use the DRS system three-﷽times a lap in 2015 but they must be within one-second of the car in front during the detection zone to engage the overtaking aid.

Last year the drivers only had to be within two-sec𒅌onds of each other to engage the system but could only receive the use of the overtaking device on one occasion per-lap.

The DRS should prove to be more effective during this season as tweaks to the wing-angle means the drivers will depl🐼oy 18 degrees of drag reduc🍌tion as opposed to the previous 16 degrees - creating the potential for higher top speeds.

In addition to the overtaking i🌳nnovation, the teams will have to tackle the revamped qualifying and race double header with a reduced supply of tyres for 2015.

Instead of receiving five sets of tyres - which in 2014 included the use of the hard and soft compound - each car will be supplied with four sets of the new Hankook control rubber🅷. The DTM outlawed the soft option at the end of last season.
