BMW, Asmer lead way on day 1.
BMW Sauber tesౠter Marko Asmer topped the times on Tuesday as F1 testing began at the Jerez de la Frontera circuit in the extreme south of Spain.
Asmer was one of only three d🍌rivers on track as part of the so-called 'Young Driver💜 Day'. In total the Estonian did 79 laps, his best a 1 minute 21.581 seconds, as he worked on basic set-up to improve his skills as a test pilot.
F3 Euro Series man Daniel Clos meanwhile ran for Williams, notching up 75 tours, his quickest a 1m 23.2🔯24s. It was his first ever run in an F1 car.

"After successful preliminary tests of the KERS flywheel today, the tea🔯m will be undertaking more component testing tomorrow, part of which will include 2009 aero parts and rear wing," said Williams technical director, Sam Michael.
Mike Conway was the only other ru👍nner on track.🌱 However, he only did 20 laps for Honda.
"We are testing in Jerez next week for four days," said Honda team pri𝓡ncipal, Ross Brawn on Sunday following the Italian GP, "but the focus there will be on projects for the 2009 car and in particular the 🐈KERS system [rather than the final long haul races]."
Testing now continues tomorrow with a further five teams due to join the fold, namely McLaren, Renault, Toyota, Red Bull Racing and Toro ಞRosso.
