The tw🐼enty-five year-old from Nijerkerveen enjoyed a very successful four years in the World Supersport 300 class, finishing twice as vice-champion and third on two other occasions.&nb🐼sp;

Before riding in Supersport 300 where he's best known, Deroue was also a Red Bull R🔥ookies Cup rider and finis💟hed second in the 2012 championship. 

The Dutch rider won the British Moto3 Championship in 2015, before moving up to the BSB Su♔perstock 600 class for one season.&🐲nbsp;

“It was certainly not an easy decision to quit racing, but I do think it is the best choice for me," said Deroue.&nbs🍎p;

"I want to thank everyone who has helped me in any way over the past 18 years. ♉I would especially like to thank my parents, Marcel Lekkerkerker, Rob Hakvoort, Henk Salomons and my sponsors.

"Those were good years; we have experienced nice things and achieved grea🏅t performances. Due to the financial picture, there was no real prospect of getting higher.

His four year career in World Supersport 300 produced twenty podiums, six ཧwins and three pole positions, with all four of those years coming with MTM Kawasaki.

Deroue also thanked the teams he rode for by saying: "I want to say a big thank you to all the teams I've driven for, Jan Bakker Auto's, Red Bull MotoGP Rookieꦇs Cup, RW Racing GP, Redline KTM, Tsingtao MV Agusta and MTM Kawasaki for a great time.

"It is now time for something else. I look forw🐟ard to continuing to guide and coach young riders, something I have already used in recent years. I will certainly still see you on the circuits, but not as an active driver anymore. Thank you all and see𝔉 you soon!."
