Aragon WorldSBK: Alex Lowes secures second ever podium clean sweep weekend

Alex Lowes leaves round one of the 2021 WorldSBK champions🌠hip second in the standings behind team-mate Jonathan Rea, following two second places and a third in race two.
Lowes last achieved a full WorldSBK race weekend of podiums in𝓰 2019 at the Buriram International Circuit, Thailand.
Lowes was tantalisingly close to Rea for mu🍌ch of the weekend but was unable to pip the six-time world champion on each occasion.
But importantly for Lowes, it was another strong openin💮g round to his campaign as was the case at Phillip Island last year.
Speaking after race🐻 two♏, Lowes said: "We had no chance of staying with Scott [Redding] in race two because after two laps the track was completely dry.
"That was a shame but I felt good on the bike and at the end I played a bit 🦋with some settings to find a bit more grip. Three podiums to start the year, on a track I think I have had one podium at in a sprint race on another bike before, but nothing really special.
"So it is nice to start the season like this. It is just one weekend but I feel good on the bike, which helps. If you are in control on the bike then you can manage the situations a little bit better.🅘
"This morning in the full wet conditions I felt good. In the dry I💟 felt good. In the mixed conditions we did a good job.
"In all of these 🏅conditions with th🐠e bike we understand what is happening and that puts us in a good position going forward."
