Concussion, fractured wrist rules out van der Mark at Misano
Michael van der Mark will miss the remainder of th꧂e Misano World Superbike round following his heavy high-side at thওe end of the second practice session suffering concussion and a right wrist fracture amongst his list of injuries in the off.
The Pata Yamaha rider topped FP2 and on his f𓆏inal lap he was launched into a huge high-side at the final corner, landing heavily on the kerbs, which triggered a red-flag stoppage.

After being taken to the Misano medical centre by ambulance, the Dutch rider was transported to Rimini hospital after being diagnosed with polytrauma, concussion, a right wrist fracture and ri🐻ght rib fractures.
His Pata Yamaha squad has confirmed van der Mark will req♔uire surgery on his right wrist fracture and will also remain under observation in hospital for the next 24 hours as a precaution.
It marks a painful premature end to a promising ജweekend for van der Mark having won the final Jerez race last time out and topping Friday practice at Misan෴o.
The 🐈timeframe of van der Mark’s recovery remains unclear until he undergoes surgery but the Dutch rider will miss the Misano round and is already a major doubt for the upcoming Donington Park (July 5-7) and Laguna Seca (July 12-14) rounds. Van der Mark’s p☂articipation in the Suzuka 8 Hours could also be under threat with the iconic endurance race taking place on July 26-28.
