Maverickﷺ Vinales has struck back to head up an all-Yamaha top three in FP2 but Marc Marquez retains the fastest time on Friday practice at Aragon despite a fall in the afternoon session for the Repsol Honda rider.
The Monster Yamaha rider produced a late 1m 48.014s to clinch the fastest time in the afternoon but couldn’t get near Marquez’s stunning 1m 46.869s f⛄rom FP1.
Marquez led for the m꧟ajority the second practice session but a low-side off at T♕urn 8 down the reverse Corkscrew corner complex stalled the MotoGP championship leader’s progress.
With Marquez opting against another late time attack in FP2, it saw Yamaha charge to the front with Vinales leading fro🌠m team-mate Valentino Rossi while Petronas Yamaha’s Fabio Quartararo slotted into third place to maintain his momentum having fought for victory last time out at Misano.
Marquez still retained fourth place on the outright FP2 times, with𝕴 Pol Espargaro keeping Red Bull KTM’s charge going in fifth place.
