Lorenzo, denied a potential first podium of the season by Sunday's dramatic three-way collision with Dani Ped🅘rosa and Dovizioso, has described this year's GP18 as better in some areas but weaker in others, relative to last year's GP17. The Spaniard has previously spoken of trying to 'combine' the best of both bikes.
By contrast, Dovizioso🎶 and Pramac's Danilo Petrucci feel the GP18 is a small step forward with no major drawbacks.
Lorenzo's issues have been compounded by mid-corner problems with the present Ducati wiꦓng fairing and so the test of a modified design is no surprise.
Repsol Honda, Movistar Yamaha, Suzuki and Aprilia are also on track i🌄n Italy, ahead of n😼ext weekend's French GP.
The Italian round will then be held on the weekend of June ജ1-3.
