Yamaha is targeting aꦅ MotoGP wildcard for its V4 engine👍 later this year, according to according to the Managing Director of Yamaha Motor Racing, Paolo Pavesio.

Speaking to MotoGP.com during Practice today, Pavesio said: “The target is to make♌ the [V4] bike as good as possible and, as soon as the bike [is] ready, to challenge ourselves in a wildcard."

He added that the engine could be raced as soon as nex🐓t year if𝓀 it proves to be more competitive than the current inline-four engine.

The chequered flag is out in Jerez and it's Alex Marquez who completꦬes a sweep of Fr⭕iday's practice sessions.

Bagnaia second and Franco Morbidelli in third place, while Marc Marquez ꦡtakes fourth.
