Yamaha is targeting a MotoGP wildcard for ꦗits V4 engine later this year, according to according to the Managing Director of Yamaha Motor Racing, Paolo Pavesio.

Speaking to MotoGP.com during Practice to🧸day, Pavesio said: “The target is to make the [V4] bike as good as possible and, as soon as the bike [is] ready, to challenge ourselves in a wildcard."

He added that the engine could be rꦚaced as soon as next year if it proves to be more competitive than the current inline-fourꦜ engine.
