Jason O’Halloran expected to remain with McAMS Yamaha for 2022 BSB season

Third in the 𒈔2021 BSB championship, Jason O’Halloran looks set to remain with McAMS Yamaha for the 2022 campaign.

The Australian, w🌠ho was fantastic for eight rounds lost his grip on the title after team-mate Tarran Mackenzie’s brilliant showdown performance saw him win five out of the last nine races, while a 𒀰double crash at Oulton Park was O’Halloran’s undoing.

A fourth in race one was followed up by two third place finishes during the final 🌄race weekend of the s🥂eason at Brands, however, that wasn’t enough to maintain a one-two in the championship as Ducati’s Tommy Bridewell claimed second thanks to three consecutive P2 results.

The winner of those three races was O’Halloran’s team-mate Mackenzie who was confirmed to remain𒐪 with the Yamaha outfit earlier in the week.

An announcement on O’Halloran remaining with the team, which will be his fourth season with McAMS Yamaha is expected this weeken🉐d.

Mackenzie, who himself is set to compete in his fifth season with the McAMS team in 2021, discussed his dec🍸ision to return to the Yam🧸aha outfit during an exclusive interview with us.

"Yeah it’s really nice for me. Coming back to BSB with the number one plaღte is going to be a new experience and I’m really looking forward to that," said Mackenzie.

"It’s going to be my f💦ifth year with McAMS Yamaha in the Superbike class. It’s a really nice opportunity and I didn’t want to ride for anyone else in the▨ UK.

"I’ve got a really good relationsh🐓ip with all of my crew, the team, the 🎃team sponsors and having Jason there, which you might not know but that gets announced tomorrow.

"But to have him as my team-mate again is great for me. I think we won something like 21 out of the 33 ꧃races which is just over two-thirds and is mad really.

"It’s just a nice team atmosphere and although it didn’t work out for Jason this year, we had such a great year as a t🧜eam and hopefully we can carry that on to next year and improve the bike a little bit."
