Ian Hutchinson secures Synetiq BMW road racing deal

Ian Hutchinson announces a return to TAS Racing's Synetiq BMW team for when the road racing season gets back underway

Ian Hutchinson will retu🅷rn to the TAS Racing fold when road racin🀅g starts up against after inking a deal to ride the Synetiq BMW.

The Yorkshire 𝐆rider is one of the most successful riders to have ever competed at the Isle of Man TT, notching up 16 victories on the Mountain Course, including a famous sweep of five solo wꦗins back in 2010 with Honda.

Since then Hutchinson’s career has been beset by a series of injuries, most notably a serious leg break du😼ring a British Supersport round just months after his success on the 2010 TT, but won the Superbike race in 2017 while🌞 racing for TAS (formerly known as Tyco BMW).

Though the 2020 road racing schedule remains unclear after the blue riba﷽nd Isle of Man TT was cancelled and the North West 200 among others was postponed, Hutchinson says he will be ready to hit the ground running the Synetiq BMW when he is able to do so

“Putting this deal together with Philip and Synetiq BMW to do t🌼he International Road Races is perfect for me really, I was secretly hoping that would be the case all win🐼ter if I’m honest.

“I had great success and a lot of fun the last time I rode the S1000RR for TAS Racing and having prepare🌌d so well in January and February I’m ready to race when a✱ll this lockdown is over.”

Hutchinson is also set to compete in the National Superstock 1000 Championship aboard a BMW in a team set up between himself and Shaun Muir Racing, which runs the ma🃏nufacturer’s factory WorldSBK effort.
