Brown: Suggested Alonso Sonoma IndyCar appearance ‘fake news’

McLaren executive director Zak Brown has dismissed the suggestion that Fernando Alonso could miss the Formu꧅la 1 race in Singapore in order to take part in IndyCar’s season finale at Sonoma, calling it “fake news”.

Two-time F1 world champion Alonso missed the Monaco Grand Prix to make his debut at the Indianapolis 500 back in May as part of a joint entry between McLar♌en, Honda and Andretti Autosport, qualifying fifth and l𒅌eading part of the race before ultimately retiring with an engine failure.

However, Brown was quick to dismiss the suggest𒁃ion, confir𝓀ming that Alonso would be racing in Singapore as planned.
