A new era of training schools is about to begin at Weymouth again after the club's chairman Brian White got the go-ahead from the SCB. From Friday, November 7, the Wessex Stadium will once more be a regular venue for up-and-coming youngsters and other r🔯iders of all ages to try their hand at speedway🐼.

The Wildcats chief has come to an agreement with Weymouth Football Club, within whose grounds the track is situated, 𝓡to run training schools on Fridays from 6 pm to 10 pm. It is a forward-thinkinওg move White has been able to introduce because the Weymouth operation is being run on an open licence.

Whi♌te said: "People who want to attend the training school shoul𝔍d just turn up on the night and we will go from there. "There is no hire equipment so riders will have to bring their own bikes and other equipment. But I know the interest is out there because so many people have been in touch with me already and are keen to come to Weymouth."

"I don't know how many will turn up a week on Friday but I would hope to get about 20 riders here to the first one. If anyone is interested in the training school, they can contact me on 07♉79﷽3-838787."

"I met with the football club and have come to an agreement with them. They know what has gone in to get our track up and running and they are very🧸 keen to see us make use of it as long as we can cover the cost of expenses, such as the floodlights, involved in running the school💙 each week."
