Fairytale podium for Robertson Racing

Robertson Racing secured a fairytale finish to the Le Mans 24 Hours after taking third in the GTE-Am class on it🍒s debut at the Circuit de la Sarthe.
The privateer Ford team had gone into the race havi❀ng suffered a problematic build up to the race, which included multiple engine changes during practice and qualifying.
However, the loss of two laps due to a paddleshift issue was the only🅷 major isꦅsue during the race as David Murry and team owners David and Andrea Robertson produced a consistent performance to take their place on the podium.
On a record breaking day for the🧸 team, Andrea Robertson became the first female on the Le Mans podium since 1931 while she became part of the first husband and wife team to finish on the rostrum in the history of the race.
As an added celebration, the third place finish came on the Robertson's seventh wedding ann💝iversary.
"From day one I honestly thought we had a chance in this class, which is why we entered 𝓰it," Dave Robertson said. "We are not the fastest, and I know we have a lot of progress to make, but if the team could work together and have a mistake-free run I always believed this was feasible. We just kept going for 24 hours.
"We are so glad to be here, but wouldn't be were it not for the fantastic group of people in 💙the garage and back in Braselton. This is for them. It's also great to be the first husband and wife on th🥃e podium and it makes it even more special that it's our anniversary. The only problem is I've no idea how to top this next year!"
Murry, th𝄹e professional driver in the line-up, ♛was also thrilled with the podium finish.
"I am so happy for Dave, Andrea and the team," he said. "We have 🥂worked so hard for the past four years and this is the pinnacle of what they wanted to achieve, so to come and get a podium on debut is jusཧt fantastic.
"You always dream about a possible result but don't ever think it could happen so we have just taken one step at a time. This was a 100% team effort and that 🐎is what contributes to podiums at🎐 Le Mans."
