BTCC Brands Hatch: Collard will race at Brands Hatch

Rob Collard has confirmed he will compete in the final round o🍃f the 2014 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship after sustaining no serious injuries in his spectacular🎃 crash at Silverstone.
The eBay Motors BMW driver was accidentally tipped into a series of barrel rolls at speed after being clipped by the🌃 spinning Jack Clarke, Collard ꦜbeing hospitalised and his car sustaining substantial damage.
Despite this, Collard says he will return to BTCC action for the 2014 season finale, where his team-mate Colin Turkington is expected to wrap up the title, the experienced racer praising th༒e strength and safety of his car afte😼r avoiding major injury.
"I was bracing myself for what was to come. My natural instinct was to just hang on. The 🌟marshals got to the car very quickly and got me out, they did a great job, as did 🥀the entire medical team. It's a testament to West Surrey Racing and the NGTC rules in the BTCC that these cars are very, very safe.
"It was a huge incident, and I can tell you it hurt. I was struggling for breath because I was winded so that was a🧔 worry, but the medical team put my mind at rest straight away."
