F1 Singapore GP: 'Confidence close to zero' as Grosjean crashes again

Romain Grosjean says his confidence has been reduced to nothing after suffering his second crash of the Singapore Grand Prix w﷽eekend amidst a broader struggle to understand why his Haas 'feels weird'.
The Frenchman has endured a dismal Singapore weekend so far after technical issues consigned him to the box throughout the entirety 🅺of FP1 before a crash into the wall at the high-speed final corner truncated his FP2 running.
Having compl🔥ained of a lack of balance from the VF16 all weekend, Grosjean's event went from bad-to-worse when he crashed heavily again at Turn 10 during the closing stages of Q2, leaving him 15th on the grid.

Left perplexed by the sheer inconsistency of his Haas package, Grosjean - who declared over the team radio after FP3 that the c༺ar was t💜he 'worst I have driven' -, he admits he is heading into the race with no confidence in his car.
"🌺Since we started running here the car feels weird," he said. "It's not normal to put it twice in the wall in two days. I am not understanding what is going on, there is something not going quite right
"Yesterday in Turn 22, which is not somewhere you expect to spin, today braking. The rear goes, we have been struggling with understeer as well but mainly for me is losing the rear at some poin🌃t for no reason
"[My] Confidence is shit! Close to zero... when you spin once at high-speed and the second time you spin unde🎐r braking, how do you gain confidence? We are looking at data to see what we can do, checking the car after the crash to see the damage and then in the race hopefully the first few ൲laps are good and I can build from there. Clearly I won't attack the first few laps."

Reflecting on his qualif🦋ying spin, Grosjean reveals he decided to 'go for 200 per cent' because he was 🦩at a loss to understand the deficits.
"I was more than one second away from him [Esteban Gutierrez] and then we started qualifying, I did my first lap which I thought was quite a decent lap and then I checked and I was 1.2s away. So I said 'fuck it', I switch off the brain and I go for 200 per cent. I🦂t was going for as long as it could but eventually I just braked, lost the rear and that was it. Honestly, I don't understand what is going on this weekend."
