GP2 delayed as rain hits Turkey!

A rain ꦬstorm hit the Istanbul track just before 11am local time, just as the GP2 cars were🌌 sitting on the grid waiting for the start. The FIA quickly moved to avoid total carnage by announcing a delay to the start of at least 15 minutes.

Although there was a brief shower on Friday, which made the track greasy for a few minutes, none of the F1 or GP2 drive𝓀rs have any ✨experience of the circuit in wet conditions.

The track is already slippery enough with all t▨he d𒐪ust that gets blown onto it, and often a new surface is particularly tricky when it rains.
