The FIA has confirmed that Ferrari customer teams Haas and Sauber wil꧙l get key Formula 1 power unit updates ahead of this weeke🌃nd's Hungarian Grand Prix in Budapest.

As part of Ferrari's ongoing engine development through 2018, both Haas and Sauber will have an updated internal combustion engine (ICE) to use this weekend, giving both customer teams a boost in their close fight in the🌠 F1 midfield.

Romain Grosjean, Kevin Magnussen, Charles Leclerc and Marcus Ericsson will all have an updated ICE for this weekend, wit꧙h all four drivers moving onto their third and final element of the se▨ason.

Haas' Magnussen and the Sauber duo of Leclerc and Ericsson will also use a new turbocharger and MGU-H from this weekend. Grosjean was unable to take these new parts without receiving a grid penalty for the race on Sunday as he is already on the limit for the seas⛎𓃲on.

The changes were🐓 confirmed by FIA technical delegate Jo Bauer in his regular bulletin following the start of opening practice at the Hungaroring. No other driver has yet taken a new power unit part for this weekend.

The update is set to be taken by Ferrari drivers Sebastian Vettel and Kimi🔯 Raikkonen at the next race in Belgium after the summer break, with the customer teams being used to test the reliability and performance of the new parts.

Ferrari used a similar tactic earlier in the season, giving Haas and Sauber its updated engine in Monaco before the works team took the ne❀w parts at the next race in Canada.
