Jonathan Rea completes a Mandalika World Superb🌸ike double after taking victory in a wet race two from Scott Red🦄ding. 

After a lengthy deꦯlay, race two finally got underway in the shape of a revised 12 lap distance. 

Unlike 🌼race one Rea got a poor start and went from second to fifth, while Razgatlioglu led from pole.

However, Rea imme🍸diately carved his way back throu🀅gh the lead group as he got past Garrett Gerloff, Axel Bassani and Redding to slot in behind Razgatlioglu. 

Rea ﷽then took the lead from Razgatlioglu at turn 15 before the pair exchanged first place at turns one and two to behind lap two. 

Razgatlioglu momentarily regained the lead at turn 12, but Rea was once again quick in responding at turn 15 which helped Redding come through ♋and into second.  

On 🎀lap three Redding took the lead away from Rea at the same turn 12 that Razgatlioglu had done so, while Leandro Mercado crashed from sixth. 

There was contact on lap fi💛ve as Bassani squeezed Razgatlioglu at turn 16. The Yamaha rider kept hold of the inside line before Michael Van Der Mark clipped Bassani which sent the Italian down and into the grav♚el. 

Lap six saw back-to-back position swaps at turn 15 as Redding got through on Rea and Van Der Mark on Razgatlioglu. The new world champion responded a💖t turn one to regain third, however, it created a near two second gap to the leaders. 

In an ever-changing fight for the lea൲d, Rea꧃ got back through on Redding at mid-race distance, while Razgatlioglu used his impressive braking at turn one to back ahead of Van Der Mark. 

The Dutch rider eventually got the better of Razgatlioglu for the podium, while at the front Rea made a small mistake oඣn the exit of turn 16. 

Rea’s error allowed Red🍌ding to get the drive along the main straight, but the six-time world champion got back through at turn ten which ended 🏅up being the race winning overtake. Redding attempted to go down the inside of Rea at turn 15 but ran wide in doing so. 

Earlier in the day Toprak Razgatlioglu was crowned the new 2021 World Superbike champion after finishing secon🔥d behind Jonathan Rea in race one at Mandalika.

Razgatlioglu’s championship win sees him become the first rider to beat Jonathan Rea to the WorldSBK title꧒ since 2015.

Razgatlioglu joins MotoGP star Fabio Quartararo in winning world titles during the same season for Yamaha, while it’s also the first time a Yamaha rider has won the Superbike title since 2009 (Ben Spies) - coincidently that was another year where both the MotoGP and WorldSBK title went to Yamaha 𓃲riders as Valentino Rossi claimed the last of his nine world titles. 

Before Saturday’s qualifying took place Alex Lowes was declared unfit after s𓆉uffering an AC joint i🃏njury following a highside crash in FP3.

WorldSBK FP3 took place without Team HRC rider Leon Haslam after it was confirmed that the British rider would take no further p☂art in his final weekend as a world championship rider due to a shoulde♏r injury.
