After exchanging the lead in turns five and six🔴, Topraඣk Razgatlioglu managed to get the better of Jonathan Rea, before Michael Rinaldi also got ahead of the Kawasaki rider.
Rea had no answer for Razgatlioglu and Rinaldi, and was instead overtaken by Sco﷽tt Redd🍌ing on lap three for third.
Razgatlioglu, who 💟was already pulling clear of the two Ducati’s, was aided when Redding went past Rinaldi at turn 14.
Things got even better for Razgatlioglu with 13 laps remaining as Rea was passed ♊by Andrea Locatelli and Alvaro Bautista.
With just under ten laps to go there was a change for third as Locatelli got ahead of Rinaldi, whileꦇ Redding closed in behind Razgatlioglu.
The⭕ gap between Razgatlioglu and Redding was around four tenths for several laps, before Redding made a move for the💮 lead on lap 17.
Rinaldi began struggling in the final laps and was passed by Bautista and♈ Rea.
Razgatlioglu regained the lead a lap later, while Bautista also started to pressure Locatelli for the final rostrumജ place.
Just like race one, Locatelli lost third place on the final lap, this time to Bautista, while Razgatlioglu bᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚrilliantly held off Redding for the victory.
Race One
Toprak Razgatlioglu produced a brilliant WorldSBK Jerez rac๊e🦩 one to better Jonathan Rea en route to victory.
After keeping🌸 the lead off the start, Razgatlioglu was relegated to second by Rea fඣollowing a small mistake in sector three.
Michael Rinaldi moved from fifth to third heading into turn one, however, the Ducati rider allowed Andr♑ea Locatelli through after running wide at tu♋rn six.
It was a dreadful opening few laps for Alex Lowes as he went from second to P11. Rinaldi suffered a bizarre fall on lap five - turn three and was unable to continue, 𒀰before Samuele Cavalieri became the second Ducati rider to crash out just moments later.
On lap eight, there was big contact at the fronꦺt♍ as Razgatlioglu attempted a late move on Rea.
The Yamaha rider was unable to get fully alongside Rea and ran into the back of 🌄the six-time world champion - pushing both riders wide.
Leandro Me🅰rcado became the third rider to retire after his handlebar was completely broken on the throttle side.
The gap between Rea and Razgatlioglu then stabilised at around six tenths of a second, whꦐile Redding began losing g𓄧round on Locatelli for third.
With just seven laps remaining, Razgatlioglu completed a hard but b𓂃rilliant move on Rea into turn one to claim🦄 the lead.
It must be said, Rea was very compliant and did well to see the Yamaha rider coming, as conta♐ct looked inevitable.
Razgatlioglu then edged away from Rea by a couple of tenths per lap to claim victory and e💖xtend his points lead from one to six. Redding gained third p꧋lace off Locatelli on the final lap.
After missing Saturday’s Superpole qualifying and FP3 sessions, it has been confirmed that Lucas Mahias will miss the remainder o༒f 2021 due to injury.
Isaac Vinales has chosen not to race today given the tragedy of his cousin, Dean Berta Vinales, who sadly ✱lost his life yesterday following an accident in the WorldSSP300 race.
