Caricasulo joins Althea Racing Ducati for 2022 WorldSSP season

Federico Caricasulo will be back on the WorldSSP grid for the second consecutive year in🃏 2022 after agreeing to join Alth🍌ea Racing Ducati.
Caricasulo, who competed with GMT94 Yamaha, Biblion Yamaha Motoxracing and VFT Yamaha at different stages in 2021, will lea𝄹ve the Japanese manufacturer🦹 after five years, which also includes one season in WorldSBK (2020).
Instead, it’s a move to Ducati which will be Caricasulo’s first time competing for the Bologna-based manufacturer in hi🦋s career.
Caricasulo called it an ‘unexpected move’, but one that ‘I accepted immediately’ following Althea Racing’s tw💫o-year hiatus from WorldSSP.
"I am really happy with the opportunity that Genesio is offering me," addℱed Caricasulo. "It was an unexpected proposal that I accepted immediately because it is a winning project with a team that certainly needs no introduction and that I also followed as a fan.
"I like the idea of being the only rider on the team and I think it's the best situation 🍎to aim for certain resul𒀰ts.
"After five years with Yamaha in which I believe I have grown a lot, it is important for me to accept a new challenge that gives me the best motivaꦜtion.
"I still have unfinishe♑d business with this category since 2019 and my only goal is to impr🍰ove the results I have already achieved."
Althea Racing’s return with Ducati coincides with the I⛎talian manufacturer making a return to the intermediate class for the first time si🔴nce 2006.
Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Ducati), Oli Bayliss (Barni Racing Ducati) and Maximilian Koflꦑer (CM Racing) are the other confirmed Ducati riders so far for next season♔.
