Scott Redding recovered from a difficult Superpole race to claim h꧋is first WorldSBK win of 20🐲21 at Aragon.

Redding started the day with a ninth place after making a wrong ty💯re call during the damp Superpole race.

Most of his rivals chose the intermediate front tyre, while Redding was one of a select few whღo had a wet front on their machine.

And after a fast start which saw him take the lead on lap one🐽, Redding rapidly lost position after position.

The same could not be said a few hours later as Redding’s bold decision to run slick ty♋res paid off in fine style, as he dominated race two in half-dry, half-wet conditions.

Thꦿe 2020 series runner-up finished nine seconds ahead of championship leader Jonathan Rea.

Speaking after the racꦓe, Redding added: "Yeah, it’s kind of weird becaꦑuse it doesn’t feel like I’ve raced because I was on my own.

"It was a gamble and I took a gamble this morning. I didn’t know whether to go for the intermediate and🐭 then it was the same situation again (race two),🍎 and on the grid I was remembering at Sachsenring years ago in MotoGP going with an intermediate and it cost me a podium.

"I remember saying ‘I won’t use the intermediate in race conditions again’, so we put the slicks ꧋in and thought I’ll take the chance.

"It was a bit sketchy and I lost out this morning. I lost out at Brands Hatch in 2019 when I went witꦏh the intermediate which cost me, but I fi🐟nally took a gamble and it paid off for a win. I’m happy about that, but it was a really tough and strange weekend."
