Guintoli upbeat over Monza chances

World Superbike Championship leader Sylvain Guintoli is targeting more than two podium finishes at Monza in It꧋al🐽y this weekend.

The Frenchman, who sits proudly on top the standings on 111 points after a sᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚuperb start to the season on the factory Aprilia RSV4, also reckons the top speed record at Monza in within reach.

Kawasaki's Tom Sykes hit 210.9mph during free practice at the Italian circuit in 2012 and Guintol﷽i believes the RSV4 has the capacity to raise the bar even further.

"I ꦍam very excited about riding my RS﷽V4 in Monza," he said.

"We come here as🐷 ranking leaders, just as the champions♏hip is getting heated up.

"I like t𝔍his track and it suits the Aprilia perfectly.

"Hopefully we can beat the all time Superbike top speed record and come back with two strong results."

Guintoli has finished on the rostrum in ꧅five of the six races held so far, winning at Phillip Islandꦅ in February and finishing as the runner-up at the Australian venue.
