Ogie🃏r, who reclaimed the lead of the 2018 WRC with a comfortable outright victory in Mexico - his second win of the year - was handed a 10 second time penalty for cutting a chicane on the final stage of the rally.

A stewards’ report said the M-Sport driver “hit the first two-block element” of the chicane “with the front-right side of the car” before touching “the last element” as he exiteܫd the chicane.
The five-time WRC champion had finished second on the Power Stage behind Toyota’s Ott Tanak, ﷺcollecting four bonus points, but the time penalty relegated him to seventh.
It means Ogier, who had opened u👍p a nine-point lead in the championship le⛄aderboard, now leads Hyundai’s Thierry Neuville by just four points.
