Chadwick went into the final race of the season in prime position - winning the first race of the weekend at COTA - to retain the W Series title with her nearest riꦺval, Alice Powell, 10 points back.

Starting from pole po🦩sition, Chadwick dominated the race, winning by over five s🧸econds to claim her fourth victory of the season.

Chadwick is part of Williams F1’s driver academy, having joined the Grove-based outfit in 2019, retaining her place a𒈔s a development dr🧸iver at the start of 2021.

The British driver has enjoyed another remarkable season, finishing on the pod♏💯ium at all but one race this season.

Powell secur꧃ed runner-up spot behind Chadwick after finishing sixth in the s💯econd race of the weekend.

Emma Kimiläinen finished third in the drivers’ championship after an impressive end to the seas🦋on with four consecutive podium finishes.

Ahead of the final race of the seas🍌on, Abbie Eaton and Marta Garcඣia had to pull out due to injury and illness.

In an announcement, W Series said: W Series made the announcement: “Abbie Eaton will not comp🐠ete in today’s final race of the season after suffering a T4 compression🐬 fracture during yesterday’s race at COTA.

“Abbie is in good spirits at Dell Seton Hospital where she is being treated, and everyone at W Series wishes her a spe🐻edy recovery.”

Garcia’s ab🉐sence was also explained: “Marta Garcia is unwell and will not compete ♏in today’s race. Everyone at W Series wishes her a speedy recovery.”

For 2022, the top eight in the 🦹championship automatical🉐ly qualify, while the rest of the field will need to re-apply.
