The 57-year-old was running down the order at the wheel of his Mazda 3 MPS when he ran slightly wide turning into The Chase during t📖he tenth hour of the race - with dramatic consequences.

The impact proved to be so severe🅘 that the engine, front suspension and gear box were torn clear from the Mazda, which came💯 to rest on its wheels on the exit of The Chase.
Cave was able to remove himself from the car, and was assisted by medical personnel at the scen🧸e of the crash𒐪 before being escorted to the medical centre for a thorough check-over. However he appeared to have escaped serious injury.
The race itself was won by Damien White, Rod Salmon and Graham Alexander drivin🎃g the #87 SKWIRK.com Mitꩲsubishi Lancer EVO IX.
