WEC’s April Spa round postponed due to coronavirus pandemic
The World Endurance C♋hampionship’s 6 Hours o🌱f Spa-Francorchamps round in April has been postponed amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The Spa r🐽ound, which was due to be held on April 25 as the final WEC race before the Le Mans 24 Hours finale in June, has become the latest motorsport event casualty of the COVID-19 outbreak.
It follows the cancel🅰lation of the 1000 Miles of Sebring - scheduled to take place this weekend on March 20 - as a result of the travel ban to the Unit💦ed States from mainland Europe.

It follows the cancellation of the 1000 Miles of Sebring - scheduled to take place this weekend on March 20 - as a result of ✱the travel ban to the United States from mainland Europe.
In a statement, WEC said the promoter, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps and the R꧑ACB are working together to find a new date and will communicate this once finalised.
“In view of the continued global spread of COVID-19, and after discussions with the championship promoter, its local partners and the RACB, the decision has been taken to postpone the 7th round of the FIA World Endurance Championship’s 2💝019-2020 season,” the statement read.
WEC boss Gerard Neveu added: “This decision was the🍷 only responsible option to be taken at this time.
“The health and well-being of our 🤪competitors, fans and mem🌜bers of the paddock has to remain our priority.
“We are working on a revised date for the 6 Hours of❀ Spa and will communicate that as soon as possible.”
WEC also said that all tickets already purchased for the 6 Hours of Spa will remain valid for the rescheduled date, with those unable to ♛attend in line for reimbursement via the official ticket seller (Ticketmaster).
