This week thไe annual Scottish Open Championship is the big attraction at Armadale Stadium (Friday, parade 7.15, first race 7.30), and as always there are some big name riders chasing the prize money and the famous Jack Young Memorial Trophy. Four-time winner Peter Carr goes for a record breaking fifth win in the event.

As usual, an impressive field of riders has been assembled to contest the competition. There are few bigger names in the sport than American Sam Ermolenko, World Champ𝔉ion of 1993 and still one of the most charismatic figures in Speedway.

Sam will be making his first bid for the Scottish Open, and will be taking on some of the top Premiꦑer League riders including home star Peter Carr, Workington's Carl Stonehewer and Newport's Craig Wa🗹tson.
