French rider Franck Petricola is 'serious but stable' following an accident during practice for the Superstock class at the North Wes🎶t 200 on Tuesday♏.

The 31-year-old,🎃 a newcomer to the event, came off his BMW machine at the Primrose corner section of the circuit with minutes of the session remaining.

He was treated at the scene before being airlifted🔜 to the Royal Victoria Hospital iജn Belfast.

Mr Petricola is in the intensive care unit but his injuries are said to be 'non-life t✅hreatening'.

He was riding for the Ice Valley BMW Team𝔍 on his debut at the 8.9-mile circu༺it.
