2021 Italian MotoGP, Mugello - Qualifying (1) Results
A controversial tow helps Marc Marquez lead Qualifying 1 for the Italian MotoGP and advance - alongside Aleix Espargaro - to the Q2 pole position shooto🐭ut.
Marquez was one of a number of riders to follow Vinales out of the pits for the final run, but the Repsol Honda rider also stuck to the Yamaha like a magnet when he pulled back in🧜to pit lane to try and👍 shake-off the caravan behind.
With time running out Vinales had no choice but to push and duly towed Marquez&nbܫsp;to the top on his penultimate lap. Vinales was later pushed from second to third by Espargaro, but the Monster Yamaha rider was on course to regain a top-two place on his last lap, until he ran wide at the final corner and will now start 13th.
