wuqian0821.com MotoGP podcast: 2021 season review - Suzuki

For our final podcast of 2021 Keith Huewen, wuqian0821.com MotoGP editor Peter McLaren and host ꦐHarry Benjamin take a team-by-team look through the MotoGP field꧂.
This clip focusses on Suzuki, which came into the season as reigning world champions with Joan Mir, but finished it without the Spaniard leading a single race lap - consistency rather than speed carrying Mir to third overall behind Fabio Quartararo (Yamaꦛha) and Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati).
It was an even more frustrating season for team-mate Alex Rins, who suffered six race 🌜falls and missed Catalunya when he broke his wrist in a bizarre cycling accident to end the season an 'unlucky' 13th in the world championship.
Suzuki, shocked by the departure of team manager Davide Brivio in January, was the last of the six factories to provi🃏de its riders with a rear ride-height device and Mir has made clear that a big technical push is needed for 2021.
Indeed, with rider dಌiscussions already starting over 2023 contracts, Suzuki's first priority will arguably be to convince Mir﷽ to remain on a GSX-RR…

Peter has been in the paddock for 20 years and has seen Valentino Rossi come and🌠 go. He is at the forefront of the Suzuki exit𝓡 story and Marc Marquez’s injury issues.
