New MotoGPಌ rider for 2022, Remy Gardner, enters round eight of the 2021 Moto2 season with an increased champ𝔍ionship lead of 11 points following his back-to-back wins in Italy and Spain. 

The victories in Mugello and C🍸atalunya were the Australian’s second and third career Moto2 wins,🃏 whilst also his first of this season. 

Given the recent form shown by both Gardner and team-mate Rau🌄l Fernandez - have been a class above the rest with three consecutive one-twos, both Red Bull KTM Ajo riders will be favourites for similar resulಞts at this weekend’s German GP. 

Sachsenring is a fairly unique track when it comes to the current crop of MotoGP races. Th🐬e German layout is extremely tight and anti-clockwise, resulting in ten of the 14 corners behind left-handers. 

And while Gardner described it as ‘similar to that of a karting circuit’, it’s one he enjoys nonethe𝓀less as claiming a top five finish is the objective.

"I spent the week off wakeboarding, doing some trial traini♛ng, and other days I went out for a run. It was a few days of relaxing a little," said Gardner.

"Now it's time to work and face the last back-to-back races before the summer break. It will be important to get through these two contests🍰 with plenty of points, as we were doing at the last few rounds. 

"The layout of Sachsenring is similar to that of a karting circuit: The first sector is very small, although I qui𝔍t💎e like the final part. 

"There are a lot of left hand corners, so let's see📖 how it goes there. The goal is once again to enter the Top 5, wit✤hout making any mistakes, and achieve the best possible result."
