Jerez MotoE: Cardelus ‘thinking about bigger goals’ in second MotoE season

Xavier Cardelus🍰 and MotoE rookie Andre Pires complete the first of three days testing in Jerez as preparations intensify a✤head of the season opener on May 2nd.
These three days are the final testing o🥃pportunity for riders and teams ahead of t﷽he third MotoE World Cup campaign.
The series began in 2019 with Matteo Ferrari becoming the first champion, before former World Superbike rider Jordi 🌱Torres claimed the title last year.
In 2021, the Avintia Esponsorama team will be relying mostl🌼y𒀰 on the returning Cardelus who rounded out the top ten during today’s practice.
"After a year of learning and getting to know the bike, I think this is the year of thinking about bigger goals," said Cardelus🐼.
"The work we have done here in preseason has been very positive, 🗹but that doesn’t mean everything stays the same or better.
"Today we must start from zero and work in th🐻e same way that we have done in the preseason.
"I really like the Jerez🅰 track and I’m read♋y to keep improving for the race."
Liking the Circuito de Jerez - Angel Nieto is a sentimꦛent shared b🦩y his rookie team-mate Pires.
The Portuguese rider has so far enjoyed the process of riding a new bike and said: "I am very motivated; I want to start this new adventure. The first tests with the MꦕotoE were very positive even though it was a new bike for me, the sensations are very good.
"In these second t♌ests I already have more data, I am more comfortable with the bike and I am more confident that it is very important.
"I love fast corners on this circuit. It is not very technical, but I🌊 like it a lot. In this track I have more experience than others so I have to take advantage of it."
