Malaysia progressed to the 'recovery🐬' stage of its coronavirus plan yesterda𝓰y, allowing sport and recreational activities (such as the track day), although sporting events are still banned. The borders also remain closed to non-Malaysians.
The recovery🍌 phase will remain in place until August 31, after which a further easing of restrictions is expected should coronavirus🍸 cases continue to fall.
Malaysia was due to hold♋ its MotoGP at Sepang on November 1, 🎀but Dorna's Carmelo Ezpeleta has now said that any flyaway races possible this season will be held after all of the European events, in a window from mid-November to mid-December.
Sepang is one of four flyaway rounds not yet officially cancelled and, along with Buriram in Thailand, is seen 𓃲as having the best chance of going ahead. However, Ezpeleta made clear neither will happen unless fans are allowed to attend, due to cost reasons.
A revised calendar featuring the 'final' line-up of European circuits and dates - 🐟starting with Jerez in mid-July - i🐷s expected this week. A decision on any flyaways should be made by August.
