Marc Marquez feels he can be “even faster” with Honda’s new carbon fibre-equipped chassis after re💦trying it during the German MotoGP round but confirms it isn’t ready to race yet and he will stick with his aluminium chass♍is.

After running back-to-back stints on each chassis with his RC213V at Sachsenrin﷽g, Marquez confirmed he will not race with the carbon option due to the lack of race distance data Honda has with the 𒁏new design.

With his full focus on the MotoGP wo🍎rld title race, Marquez doesn’t wantꦿ to take unnecessary risks given he feels confident with his current chassis.

“We tried a new chassis and that we already tried in Montmelo and the potential was there. We retried here and the potential is there but still we need to understand it,” Marquez said. “It is true with the c🐻hassis we understand we can be even faster but we don’t know what happens over a race distance so we will🦋 come back to the [current] one.

“We need more information, we made some back to back runs here, but we saw the potential with that new chassis is there so we need to analyse ℱmore.

“We know the reactions of this current chassis and with the new chassis we 𝔉have some positive things but also s♛ome negative things.

“The negative things can sometimes create a crasꦬh. So then you try to avoid this thing.

“Maybe with the new chassis I can be even faster but I ꦦdon’t feel safe enough to do 30 laps in a row. It is time to analy♋se deeply but it is more about safety and our situation in the championship.”

Marquez has completed th🍨e first part of his perfect 10 with pole position for tomorrow’s German MotoGP. The Repsol Honda rider came into this weekend with nine consecutive poles and race wins across his career and has never be🍌en defeated at Sachsenring in the premier class.

The MotoGP world champion currently leads the riders’ st🌼andings by 44 points from Ducati’s Andrea Dovizioso.
