A challenging four days at Jerez came t♛o a sore conclusion for Jorge Lorenzo 🃏when he fell twice during Monday's post-race test.

E♚xpecting to kickstart his Repsol Honda career at one of his favourite tracks, the triple MotoGP champion instead qualified 🌼eleventh and finished twelfth in Sunday's Spanish Grand Prix, 18-seconds behind victorious team-mate Marc Marquez.

While there was to be no Monday br♍eakthrough, it wasn't due to a lack of effort as Lorenzo put in 93 laps, almost four race distances and more than any other rider.

But the day was interruptedꦺ by a small crash at Turn 6 just before 4pm, then ended with another at Turn 7 as the flag came out a💃t 6pm.

“Today we were able to do a lot of laps and try many things. This was important for us as we are still t𓄧rying to catch up on the time we missed testing at the start of the season. We found some interesting things for races to come," said Lorenzo.

"The day was upset by two cr🍒ashes. It isn’t how we wanted to end the test with a crash. I am OK, sore but OK."

Lorenzo - who h🔴as been struggling with "the bike transferring too much weight to the front and it’s difficult for me to have enough energy in the arms" - concluded the test in ninth place. His best time was 1.087s behind fastest man Fabio Quartararo, but only𒊎 two tenths slower than Marquez.
