Afterꦦ enduring a dramatic, incident-packed qualifying, the current championship leader was in swashbuckling form as he completed a succession of laps in the mid-high 1m 32s with ease. Andrea Dovizioso,💛 second fastest, could only manage a handful.
Times at the top were tight, with Dovizioso just 0.028s slower and Lorenzo 0.151s off the reigning world champion. But neither rider in red appeared particularly pleased at the close of the session as the extentꦿ of their afternoon challenge became clear.
Cal Crutchlow enjoyed a positive session, ending it with the fourth fastest time, 0.441s off the front, with Jack Miller fifth. Dani Pedrosa appears to have found a cure for his accelerating issues♈ in sectors two and four with the sixth quickest time.
The warm-up wasn’t so positive for the Movistar Yamahas of Maverick Viñales (seventh) and Valentဣino Rossi (eleventh), who were 0.6s and 0.9s off Marquez’s pace.
