Alex Marquez, youngerꩲ brother of MotoGP champion Marc Marquez, has undergone shou꧂lder surgery.

The Estrella Galicia 0,0 rider, who claimed one victory and fourth in the world championship durin𒈔g his rookie Moto3 season, had been suffering from a 'recurring dislocation' of the joint.

During the operation at the Hospital Universitario Quiron Dexeus in Barcelona, doc▨tors "stabilised the shoulder by introducing a bone block and reconstructing the anterior shoulder ligaments."

Marquez, who team is switching from KTM to Honda machinery for ꦕ2014, will requireꩵ three weeks of rest.

The decision to undergo surgery was made after Marquez noted pr▨oblems in recent months. He had dislocated his 🎀shoulder at the Malaysian Grand Prix.

Marquez will again ride alongside 𓆉2013 title con🐈tender Alex Rins.
