UPDATE: Moto2 title leader Scott Redding taken to Melbourne for further examinations on a suspected left wrist fracture.
Moto2 title leader Scott Redding was t𒉰aken away on a stretcher after a nasty highside during qualifying for the Australian Grand Prix.
The 20-year-old Englishman was kicked out of the seat 𓆉of his Marc VDS Kalex through the fast final section of the Phillip Island circuit, bouncing on top of the bucking bike before eventually being thrown off.
Redding was able to leave the stretcher and walk into the waiting ambulance but appeared to have hurt a hand and is now having a 's♔uspected left wrist injury' examined in the Medical Centre.
The in✤ciden🃏t occurred just moments after a fall for Redding's team-mate Mika Kallio.
Redding, who has a nine point lead over Pꦬol Espargaro, had been holding sixth on the grid for the shortened 13-lap race - but was bumped down to tenth in his absence.
Espargaro is on pole.
