Lewis Hamilton goes ‘back to his roots’ with new F1 helmet design

The seven-time world champion revealed a vintage fluorescent yellow and purple design that has been inspired by the helmet he originally used at the start of his F1💝 career, as well✤ as during his karting days.
Hamilton has worn a purple and black helmet design for the past two seasons but explained he wanted t🅘o “show love to my beginnings” going into the new campaign, which begins this weeken♛d with the Bahrain Grand Prix.

“For this year’s helmet I wanted to show love to my be𓃲ginnings,” Hamilton wrote on Twitter.
“As ♒much as I love purple and black, yellow is my history. I’m going into this season with the same dedication, drive and passion I had way back in my karting days.”

Hamilton’s fluorescent yellow helmet matches the colour of his race number on his Mercedes car and is similar to🐼 the colour scheme used by MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi, who is a close friend of Hamilton.
