OMG Racing will move to BMW machinery frꦦom the 2020 Bennetts British Superbike championship, ending its two-year partnership with Suzuki.

The team joined the BSB grid in 2📖018 but has already tasted victory in the Superbike class with Josh Elliott claiming a win in the 2019 season-opening race at Silverstone.

Looking to continue its climb up the BSB pecking order, OMG Racing will move to BMW machinery running the S1000RR from 2♊020.

“We’re looking to ꦬtake the team to♒ the next level where we want to be, which is fighting for podiums week in week out and definitely in the showdown,” Paul Curran, OMG Racing, said. “Unfortunately, we weren’t able to work any closer with Suzuki to further develop the bike. With the BMW’s we’re able to purchase the parts that we need the same as any other BMW team and all the parts are available and the RR’s are an exciting project to get started on.

“I’d like to say a big thanks to Brad Clarke and the🅘 team at Powerslide Motorcycles for all their support with the GSX-R1000R and I’m sure we’ll continue that relationship in some form, they’ve been fantastic with us throughout our time on Suzuki’s. Now it’s time for a new challenge for OMG.

“We know that the bikes have a lot of potential because the current BMW’s still are using the stock engine and they’re still able to run at the front. As the package develops it’s only going to get stronꩲger and it’s looking like a good bike.”

Having already re-signed at OMG Racing for 2020, Luke Mossey is ♒relishing the transition to BMW as part of his plan to reach the BSB Showdow☂n next season. Mossey joined the team from Bournemouth Kawasaki last winter.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to ride the BM🍌W S1000RR, it has looked really competitive this season and with a full year of development behind it, I’m sure we can have a good run at a Showdown spot in 2020,” Mossey said.

“It’s a new bike for me, but we’ll get some winter testing done on the 🐓bike and I’m sure I’ll make the transition🌃 as quickly as I settled on the Suzuki this year.”
