Though Redding was 🔥always tippꦦed to find his form in BSB after a solid start to his Superbike tenure, his three wins at Donington Park were not only notable for the result but also for the way he achieved them.

After winning from a ‘losing’ position of three seconds behind in race one on Saturday, Redding – by his own admission - made things difficuꦓlt for himself again when he dropped to a low of 11th in race two after a bad start. However, he quickly regrouped and steadily picked his way up the🧸 order.

On the back of leader Xavi Fores coming up to the end of lap 18 of 26 – two-third distance – with rain beginning to fall, Redding’s experience told as he lunged for the lead in anticipa☂tion of the red flag being imminent now enough of the race had been completed for the result to stand.

“I m൩ade it d🍷ifficult again for myself in the first race [of Sunday] and dropping back down the order wasn’t ideal but the bike’s been working so well all weekend and my old style’s started to come back, so I was able to work my way forward.

“When the rain started to fall, I knew it wouldn’t be long before the red flag ✨came out, so I tried to be as clean as possible and get to the front which I managed to do.”

In race three, however, Redding exerted greater control on proceedings by staying in the lead group from the beginning and𒉰 punching to the front on lap eight before keeping the pack at arm’s length thereafter.

Proving as adept﷽ out front as he was overtaking through the pack, Redding was delighted to come away with a landmark hat-trick, one that moves him to the summit of the points’ table anꦅd formally confirms his burgeoning title credentials.

“Getting my second win felt greaജt so to go on to complete the hat-trick made it an incredible weekend. I never expected the three wins but in the last race I was determined not to make a mess of the start and getting the lead early was just what I wanted.

“The team have been mega and have given me a lot of confidence so 🐬I want to maintain this form now as best I can.”
