It means AmD will continue to run a four-car pro♐gramme in the BTCC after already announcing a two-year joint venture in the running of their two existing Audi S3s with the new Trade Price Cars Racing team last week.
AmD entered a pair of Audi S3s as well as a pair of MG6 GTs dꦡuring this year's BTCC campaign, but the team willꦕ sell its MGs in order to make way for the two Hondas.
Discussions w🐲ith potential drivers said to𝕴 be already underway, with further annoucements to be made in due course.
“La♌st season, it was a big move for us to expand to a four-car team and after a successful 2018, we are again seeking to move forwards to the next level,” said AmD team principal Shaun Hollamby.
“Whilst we enjoyed some strong results on track with the MGs, the opportunity to purchase the ex-Eurotech Hondas was one that was too good to turn down as you only have to look at th🃏e statsও to see what a strong package the FK2 Civic Type R is.
“Acquiring these🐠 cars provides us with a fantastic platform to really raise our game and fight consistently towards the sharp end of the grid, and we are al🎃ready in discussions with drivers who we know are capable of helping us to achieve our goal.
“Without doubt, this is the most exciting development for us as a team since we joined the BTCC, and we have to thank Cobra Sport Exhaustꦿs for helping to make it poss🙈ible. Together, I’m extremely confident about a successful 2019.”
As part of the expanded relationship between the two parties, Cobra Sport Exhausts managing director Rachel Abbott will take on the🎀 role as joint team principal alongside AmD boss Hollamby.
