Honda's Dan Cammish 🔴took his second race victory of the day, while Team BMW's Colin Turkington clinched his third British Touring Car Championship crown in dramatic fashion with a 22nd place finish at Brands Hatch.

In a near mirror image ofꦯ race one, Cammish led home yet another Halfords Yuasa Racing Honda 1-2 result ahead of his team mate Matt Neal, to record his second career BTCC win, while the title drama unfolded behind.

With Turkington and Tom Ingram starting the second race with no success ballast from 12th and🗹 14th, the race for the 2018 drivers' crown was very nearly turned on its head after Turkington found himself careering across the gravel at Paddock Hill bend on the 13th lap of tౠhe race.

An incident with BTC Norlin Racing Honda of Dan Lloyd saw Turkington drop out of the points paying positions and d⛎own to the rear of field, while Ingram found himself on the cusp of a podium fඣinish.

Turkington had already lost ground relative to Ingram after being shuffled down to 14th by Adam Morgan aꦚnd Ashley Sutton a lap prior to his altercation with Lloyd.

With Turkingto💖n out of the points in 22nd, Ingram needed to finish in third in order to take the titl🀅e fight down to the wire in the final race.

However, with third position being occupied by Turkington's BMW team mate Andrew Jordan, Ingram was able unable to manufacture a gap p✨ast Jordan, meaning Turkington was 🍌able to take the title a race early in 22nd place.

Turkington now🐼 has an unassailable 23-point at the top of the table, with ju𝓡st 22 left to play for in the final race.

Jordan completed the podium order behind the Hondas of Cammish and Neal, while Ingram remained fourth ahead of ♐Aiden Moffat in fifth.

Tom Chilt൲on was sixth aboard his Motorbase Performance Ford Focus RS, while Senna P꧑roctor finished in seventh ahead of the charging Subaru of Ashley Sutton in eighth.

Rob Austin and Josh Cook completed the remainder of the top-ten finishers in nin🌌th and tenth.
