Ryde steps away from racing after CF Motorsport Yamaha split

Kyle Ryde says he has opted to “have a little break” from racing having split from CF Motorsport Yamaha midway through the Snetterton round in thꦆe Bennetts British Superbike championship earlier this month.

The 20-year-old made the full-time move to BSB this year after two seasons in the World Supersport championship but halfway through the four🐲t꧟h round of the 2018 campaign at Snetterton he split from the Craig Fitzpatrick-run squad.

Kyle Ryde says he has opted to “have a little break” from racing having split from CF Motorsport Yamaha midway through the Snetterton round in the Bennetts British Superbike champions﷽hip earlie🌠r this month.

The 20-year-old made the full🦩-time move to BSB this year after two seasons in the World Supersport championship but halfway through the fourth round of the 2018 campaign at Snetterton he split from the Craig Fitzpatrick-run squad.

Ryde has confirmed via his Instagram he’s is taking an indefinite🍷 break from racing after struggling this year while also facing up the financia🃏l costs and pressures.

The former Red Bull M📖otoGP𒐪 Rookies Cup contender and 2014 National Superstock 600 champion says he’s eager to return to racing after a chance to step away.

“It’s hard to say it but I’ve chosen to stop racing in BSB with CF Motorsport and Craig Fitzpatrick,” Ryde wrote on Instagram. “The main reason being I’m really struggling to enj🐼oy my racing. Racing around risking your life and not enjoying it made me realise we were costing the team and my family money where I shouldn’t be.

“I feel much better for making this decision and I’m happy to have a littl🐼e break f🎃rom it.

“I do love racing and I’m not saying I don’t want to stop doing it forever. I really bloody hope I can come back soon (not sure what) but to come back and enjoy 🐟it. Especially [to] show what I know I can do.”

CF Motorsport Yamaha is yet to name a replacement rider ahead of rou🌃nd five of the 2018 BSB championship at Knockhill next weekend (July 6-8).
