Newey receives OBE

Famed F1 designer Adrian N🌜ewey has been awarded an OBE in the British 🔯New Year Honours list.

The 53-year-old Englishman has designed F1 world championship winning cars🥂 at Williams, McLaren and now Red Bull, where Sebastian Vettel has been crowned cha♋mpion for the past two seasons.

Newey, chief technical officer at ⛄Red Bull Racing, has been a𓄧warded the OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) for services to motorsport.

It was also announced that Nigel Mansell, who won the 1992 F1 crown i💎n one of Newey's Williams cars, has been awarded a CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) for services to children and young people, in recognition of his work as president of charity UK Youth. Mansell already has an OBE.

The New Year Honours list rewards achievement or service to the United Kingdom. The top awar✨d is tꦬhat of Knight or Dame, followed by CBE, OBE and MBE (Member).
